This 160 Hr. (8) Week Online Course covers all aspects of Medical Billing and Coding leading to become Credentialed as a Certified Coder. This is an excellent program for someone who wants a career in Medical Billing / Coding, however you need to also work while taking the course. Also, great for those currently working in Billing and Coding , but need to become Certified to keep their positions, etc. You learn ICD/10 Coding, also conversion of Codes, CPT Coding and HCPCS Coding. Anatomy and Terminology for the Coder/Biller, taught so that it will be remembered not only for your exams but far beyond in your working environment. Billing and understand EH R’s( Electronic Health Records) pertaining to Billing and Coding are also taught allowing you to be ” Highly Job Marketable” once you take your Certification Exams. Computer based access to your Instructor available for 1/2 hr. after course ends. Books sent out approximately 1 week prior to class.

Students will be taught in a “simulated drawing / laboratory station” Not just in classroom, preparing them to be ready to work upon completion of the course and after sitting for the Certification of their choice. Many use NCCT, or NHA, however students are allowed to choose the Certification of their choice upon passing the course. The role of Phlebotomist is taught with safety and Accuracy being our main objective. CLIA, OSHA, & NCCLS regulations are taught throughout the course. Venipuncture, capillary punc, urine sampling, specimen labeling, transportation and isolation procedures are strictly adhered to. Basic Lab procedures/testing’s are explained to the students and performed including blood chemistry.
Blood typing, urinalysis, pregnancy tests etc. Students entering this program must submit to drug screening and results sent to us. Students can be asked for random tests during course if we feel needed at student’s expense.
